HANDA Opera on SYdney Harbour 2021

It’s huge, glamorous, flashy and a sight to behold – Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour is back!

This year it’s La Traviata featuring a 3.5-tonne chandelier that sparkles with 10,000 crystals and scenes that feature 70 performers on stage and party boats in the harbour.

Once again, lighting designer John Rayment turned to Chameleon to supply gear and crew including 62 x Martin Professional MAC Viper Performance, 28 x Ayrton Perseo, 12 x Prolights Panorama WBX, eight MAC 3 Performance, eight MAC Aura XB and 20 x Vari-Lite VL3500Q Spot.

Added to that are five Look Solutions Unique Hazer, four Lycian 4K Followspot, two Robert Juliat Aramis Followspot plus two MA Lighting International grandMA light consoles.

Site lighting comprised of 80 x Par 56 MFL, eight Par 64 NSP, 75 x 300/500w QI, 28 x ShowPRO LED Flood EX 36, 24 x ShowPRO LED Fusion Q XII IP Bar, 16 x Shakespeare Profile and 26 x IP Rated LED Birdie.

Chameleon also supplied Rain Hats, Chain Motors, Tri Truss, Box Truss, Rigging, Cable and Power for the site and complete Data Distribution.
